Wills Valley Community Church School

a Homeschool Cover Group open to the community.

Mission Statement

Wills Valley Community Church School exists to assist parents in the

equipping of their children’s spiritual and academic development. 

It is our desire to see our children magnify Jesus Christ,

enjoy membership in His family, develop Christ-like maturity,

find their place of ministry in His kingdom,

and pursue their mission in the world.

WVCCS also exists in order to provide a way in which participating families

may home educate their children within the limits of the law.

WVCCS desires to provide support, accountability, and encouragement

to each other as homeschooling families.

Responsibility for the children’s development and education is the full responsibility

of the parents, who place themselves under the authority of the

Pastors of Wills Valley Community Church.

If you are interested in joining our Church School Cover

and home educating your children,

please contact our Administrator, Starla Blevins (phone: 256-605-2217),

or Amy Gregg (256-996-3367), and complete the following:

1.    Complete, sign and return all forms

a.   Enrollment Application

b.   Mission Statement

c.    Release of Liability

2.    Obtain membership in HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) and provide proof of membership for record-keeping purposes. (Standard Membership: $115/year or $11/month for one year.  See their website for discounts and payment options.)

3. Non-Church Members pay $20 Annual Membership Fee to Wills Valley Community Church.

Just for clarification:

The "support group" you may have heard about is a different ministry from this church school "cover group" - If you are interested in "Community Home Educators Support Group" for group classes and group field trips, please contact one of the support group leaders:

If you are homeschooling your child(ren) in the state of Alabama you are required by law to join a "church school cover group", unless you are a certified teacher.  

A "support group" is optional but can provide group classes and group field trips that a "cover group" may not offer.

Many of the members of Wills Valley Community Church School are also members of the Community Home Educators Support Group.
