Leadership Team

 

Our leadership team, composed of a plurality of Elders, stands as the spiritual backbone of our community.

​

Our Elders are more than just leaders; they are servants who meet all the biblical requirements of an Elder. Decisions are made only when we are in unanimous agreement, ensuring a cohesive and unified approach to guiding our church.

In the absence of Pastor Denny, these Elders are equipped to teach and preach, stepping in to fill the pulpit and share the Word with the congregation.

Working alongside our Elders are our dedicated Deacons and Deaconesses—recognized servants who labor behind the scenes, embodying the true meaning of the Greek word diakonos (διάκονος) , translating to "servant" or "helper." Those selected for these roles adhere to biblical qualifications and maintain an active, growing relationship with our Lord and Savior.

At Wills Valley, we hold true to our values, and our Deaconesses, while essential to our ministry, hold no authority over men. They do not teach or preach when men are present.

• In line with our principles, we maintain a distinct educational approach, ensuring that only men are entrusted with teaching young men aged 12 or older.

• Specifically, men in our church take the lead in guiding the 5th & 6th Grade Children's Church Classes, fostering an environment that aligns with our beliefs.

• Committed individuals, such as Jeff Nelson and Jon David Nelson, are dedicated to teaching and mentoring our Youth Group students, reflecting our intentional and thoughtful approach to education and biblical convictions.
